Mariana zapata is one of the queens of slow burn romance， but it annoys me that in most of these type of books by her we get less than 15/20 pages of them actually together or their relationship starting。 Like so much built up tension and only 50% was released。 Other than that her book are amazing。

o problema não é receber migalhas e ficar contente， até porque eles passam quase o livro todo só num “quase flerte”， misturado com carícias， então não podemos culpar o Ivan de ser minimamente gentil e cuidadoso。 O problema é que， duas páginas depois， ele já está lá， gritando com ela， como ele fez assim que ela tinha acabado de machucar o tornozelo。 Tipo （？？？）， era pra ele apoiá-la， né？ E na mesma cena， enquanto ela está toda desnorteada não sabendo se quebrou alguma coisa， se apenas distendeu um músculo ou whatever， ele fica botando na cabeça dela de que ela não podia chorar em público， só porque a personagem é durona e nunca chora na frente dos outros。 É sério que durante um momento de dor e susto que nem esse， ele vai se preocupar com isso？？ Outra coisa muito boa que essa autora querida faz direto é chegar perto de passar dos limites， mas não passar。 Na cena que ele segura o pulso dela bem firme， e ela fala que ele estava segurando forte até demais， mas “não tão forte a ponto de me machucar”。 Ou quando ela disfarça uma coisa escrota e grosseira que ele faz （Ivan）， colocando um “baby” no final da frase só pra parecer que ele na verdade se importa com ela， mesmo que esteja sendo um idiota （e claramente todo mundo comprou essa ideia）。 Mas o que mais me deu nojo foi a cena em que ela acorda pelada （só de calcinha） na cama com ele， com seu braço em volta da sua cintura。 E a coitada sem entender nada， porque no mesmo dia mais cedo， a mãe dele quase como fez chantagem emocional com a Jas， pra que ela não negasse bebida。 É dito no livro que ela começou a dar whisky pra menina， e que o Ivan pediu pra ela parar， mas que no fundo todo mundo já sabia que ela não pararia， por que ninguém dizia não pra mãe dele （AAAAA MEU DEUS QUE RAIVA）。 Voltando pra ela confusa e pelada na cama dele， com ele do lado， eles dois acordam e ela pergunta o que estava acontecendo， e ele diz que ela tinha ido deitar lá no meio da noite， sem camisa e bêbada， por que tinha sujado a roupa de Gatorade。 É óbvio que um ser humano normal pensaria “Então por que ele não saiu de lá， ou botou uma roupa nela？？”， e como sempre acontece nesse livro， se surge alguma questão que envolva corpo nu ou seminu， ele diz “Eu já te vi completamente pelada， isso não é grande coisa pra mim。” （pelo fato de eles já terem feito um ensaio fotográfico juntos e nus）。 E na minha visão， isso não é desculpa alguma pra se aproveitar de alguém bêbado e nu。 E não vem passar pano não， ele se aproveitou sim， estava beijando o pescoço dela， com a mão na cintura e tudo。 E nem da pra relevar falando que eles estão em um relacionamento （o que não é muita justificativa， mas há debates）， porque eles não eram nada além de amigos nessa época。 Ela até fica puta na hora， reclama e tudo， fala que era pra ele ter saído de lá e ter dormido em outro lugar， mas depois tudo é esquecido， dando lugar ao “ele só ficou aqui pra me observar， por que eu estava com febre no dia anterior”。 Nojo。 Eu sinceramente não queria ter dado essa nota pro livro。 Provavelmente se não fosse pela cena dela pelada na cama dele， eu daria 4 de estrelas。 Mas simplesmente não dá。 Ele não aceita um “não” dela， faz tudo à força。 Tudo foi se acumulando e me irritando profundamente。 Se você não vê problema nas coisas que eu falei， ou se escolheu ignorar essas partes nojentas pra aproveitar a leitura （o que eu não julgo muito， pois já fiz com outros livros， por mais que não tenha conseguido fazer com esse）， é entendível dar uma nota alta。 Eu achei a escrita boa， e o romance estava gostosinho de ler （tirando essas partes， óbvio）。 Mas， como mulher， não consegui ignorar esses detalhes horríveis， e o modo como ela faz de tudo pra passar pano pra ele （ela sendo a autora， não vou julgar a Jas por claramente ser uma personagem cheia de traumas）。 É realmente triste dar essa nota， porque eu escolhi como personagens mentais a Tessa Virtue e o Scott Moir， que são incríveis; mas percebo que estraguei completamente com a imagem deles desse jeito， não consigo olhá-los sem ver a Jasmine e o Ivan， e isso me irrita profundamente。 OBS: QUE SLOW CAGADO！！Além disso tudo， achei super nada a ver que o slowburn foi tão slow， pra no final eles correrem com o romance。 Tinha acabado de sair o primeiro beijo deles （que ela até justifica como sendo beijo entre amigos， que não tinha malícia ali）， daí dois capítulos depois eles já transam， e é “O MELHOR DA VIDA DELA”， como ele aliás deixa bem claro ao longo do livro， reforçando que ela nunca encontraria alguém melhor que ele para cuidá-lá e amá-la。 。。。more

Oh my gosh！！！ I know we are in the midst of the summer Olympics but this book makes me excited for the winter ones！ I loved seeing the character development between Jasmine and Ivan’s relationship。 This story was so well done， and I cant wait to read more by this author！
